Dr Aidan Kelly [he/him]
Consultant Clinician | Dublin & London
Dr Aidan Kelly is Director at Gender Plus. He is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and registered in the UK with the Healthcare Professionals Council (no PYL32755) and in Ireland with the Psychological Society of Ireland. He received his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2015 from the University of Sydney.
With over 9 years of experience in gender services, he has worked with leading NHS gender clinics, including GIDS and Nottingham NCTH, specialising in gender identity assessments and gender-affirming treatments for children and adults.
Aidan is dedicated to improving access to transgender healthcare. He’s a proud member of the British Association for Gender Identity Specialists (BAGIS) and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH).
Dr Aidan Kelly has a background in Child and Adolescent Mental Health prior to working in gender.
Dr Aidan Kelly is BUPA registered.
Away from work he enjoys spending time with his family, going for runs and riding his bicycle!

Dr Claudia Zitz [they/them]
Consultant Clinician | Birmingham
Dr Claudia Zitz is a Clinical Psychologist and Systemic Family Psychotherapist by training. They are registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). Dr Claudia Zitz is an elected council member of the British Association of Gender Identity Specialists (BAGIS). Dr Zitz is registered with BUPA to deliver gender services.
Dr Claudia Zitz has worked with gender diverse young people and their families in the NHS for 10 years. There they developed clinical pathways and led regional teams in their Consultant role. They have specialist skills in gender assessments, therapeutic exploration and, where indicated, making recommendations for medical interventions. They are committed to anti-oppressive practice and feel passionately about working collaboratively with gender diverse people so they can flourish in their lives and relationships.
Prior to working in gender services, Dr Claudia Zitz has worked in the NHS with young people who struggled with their emotional wellbeing and supported them with experiences such as anxiety, depression, self-harm or neurodiversity (e.g. autism/ASC).
In addition to their clinical work, Dr Claudia Zitz holds an academic post as Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology. They are actively involved in teaching, training, research and supervision, and they have written papers on diverse genders and sexualities in peer reviewed journals and books.
Outside of work they enjoy spending time with their family and dog.

Nicky Howard [she/her]
Service Manager
Nicky is a highly experienced Service Manager and Project Manager who worked as an NHS manager for 7 years in mental health and child, adolescent and adult gender services.
She studied Psychology at the University of Queensland and the University of Sydney in Australia, and then completed a Master of Politics and Public Policy.
Nicky first worked as a research assistant, interviewing women who were at high risk of breast and ovarian cancer about different types of stress in their lives, and also as youth worker, with children and young people in care, before moving to the UK.
Nicky worked for a local government regulator and a street child charity, as well as Comic Relief and UNICEF, in roles which developed her project and operational management skills.
She then started working in the NHS in 2014, rolling out a new mental health service for offenders on probation. She rediscovered a passion for psychology and found testimony from those who had benefited from mental health interventions inspiring.
With a recent one-year secondment running a NHS audiology service across multiple sites, with more than 100 staff and significant waiting lists, Nicky brings all kinds of skills and experiences with her to her role at Gender Plus. She has a particular interest in running efficient and responsive services, with an unusual obsession with waiting lists.
Nicky enjoys reading, sitting in the sunshine - where possible - and picnics with friends.

Dr Una Masic [she/her]
Research Lead | London
Dr Una Masic is a Research Lead with over ten years research experience. Five of these have been spent leading a team of research assistants in the collection and dissemination of key data with clinically referred gender diverse children and young people. With a demonstrated history of working in both higher education and the public sector with both industry sponsors and institute funding bodies, she completed her Doctorate at the University of Sussex and post-doctoral work at the University of Liverpool.
Dr Una Masic is skilled in setting up research and data strategy, research management, governance, design, and data analysis alongside academic writing and dissemination. She has published and disseminated research about clinically referred gender diverse young people both nationally and internationally in peer reviewed journals and notable conferences and has been invited to give presentations to international gender services. She also set up a number of consistent research protocols and governance structures in her prior NHS position. She ensures that the service user voice is respected in her work and has a strong data quality ethic which she brings to all of her projects.
In addition to her research with gender diverse young people, Una also works as a Senior Researcher in the Civil Service. She presides over the generation of research policy and governance structures and scientific rigor in methodology.
Outside of research, she devotes herself to maintaining a strong and dedicated yoga practice.

Dr Josh Goulding-Talbot [he/him]
Senior Clinician | Birmingham
Dr Josh Goulding-Talbot is a Clinical Psychologist and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). He trained as a Clinical Psychologist at the University of Leicester and also obtained a Master of Research degree in Clinical Psychology from University of Birmingham. As part of his training, he has completed a Foundation Level in Systemic Theory and Practice.
Josh has worked with gender diverse young people in the NHS since he qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2021. Prior to this, he has many years of experience working in the NHS with adults and young people in general mental health and specialist services, including with young people with physical health difficulties. He has also delivered training in gender for the University of Leicester Clinical Psychology doctoral programme.
Josh holds values of social justice and compassion in his work. He works hard to adjust his practice to fit the individual, and family, he is working with, including diverse needs such as neurodiversity.
Outside of work, Josh enjoys playing board games with friends, listening to music and playing guitar.

Sarah Favier [she/her]
Principal Clinician | Birmingham
Sarah has worked in the NHS for over 20 years and qualified as a Systemic Family Psychotherapist in 2005 after first training as a Social Worker. She is registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy.
Sarah worked in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service teams in London and Leeds for 13 years and for five years specifically with young people who used self harm and their families. She started working in the NHS Gender Identity service for young people and families in 2015 and was a co team lead from 2016 to 2021 in Leeds and Birmingham, managing and supervising clinicians. She developed tools to open communication and elicit understanding around medical interventions with young people and their families.
Sarah also worked in adult gender services for a year in Nottingham and provided couple work as well as multi-disciplinary supervision groups.
Sarah has presented at British Association of Gender Identity Specialists (BAGIS), European Professional Association of Transgender Healthcare (EPATH) and World Professional Association of transgender Healthcare (WPATH) conferences and delivered training and teaching in working with gender diverse young people and their families and carers.
She is a qualified Systemic Supervisor and works as a Clinical Supervisor and Tutor on a qualifying Family Therapy training.
Sarah is a warm and approachable clinician who seeks to work collaboratively with clients. She seeks to take an ethical, curious approach and hear each family member’s views, hopes and worries.
She enjoys spending time with her family, singing, cooking and walking with her dog.

Dr Lyndsey (Igi) Moon [they/them]
Senior Clinician | London
Dr Lyndsey (Igi) Moon is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and is registered in the UK with the HCPC (PYL 18419). They are a member of the BPS where they have been involved in various committees including the Accreditation Board, Ethics Committee, and the Board of Trustees and they were central to the setting up of the BPS Specialist Gender Register and the BPS Committee on Inclusion, Ethics and Social Justice. They are a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and a member of WPATH.
They were a Residential Social Worker with children and adolescents for several years prior to working as a Senior Practitioner in drug and alcohol services and in therapeutic communities and then as a Peripatetic Specialist Counselling Psychologist in NHS Addiction Treatment Centres. In 2003 Dr Moon won an ESRC Post-Doctoral Fellowship to Newcastle University for their PhD research and again won a Senior Research Fellowship in 2007 to Warwick, followed by an ESRC Seminar Series award at Warwick 2012-14. They have been a Senior Lecturer at several Universities including City and Roehampton Universities and presently teach at Warwick University.
They continued to work as a practitioner with LGBT+ young people and adults throughout and continue to provide clinical supervision and therapy for transgender and non-binary young people and adults. Dr Moon is BUPA registered to deliver gender services.
Dr Moon is Chair of the MOU2 on Conversion Therapy that represents over 750,000 healthcare workers and leading psychiatric, psychological and therapeutic organisations working to bring about a ban on conversion therapy. Dr Moon meets regularly with the Scottish, Welsh and English Governments and has been invited to meet with the United Nation Independent Expert to comment for the LGBT community on the UK state of play on sexual identity and gender identity.
They have published three edited books, Counselling Ideologies: Queer Challenges to Heteronormativity (2010), Feeling Queer or Queer Feelings: Radical Approaches to Counselling Sex, Sexualities and Gender (2007) and ‘The Emergence of Trans: Cultures, Politics and Everyday Life (2018).
In 2019 they were awarded the David Harvey Award by GLAAD for their work on the MOU.

Dr Fabiola Neto [she/her]
Senior Clinician | Dublin
Dr Fabiola Honorio Neto is an Italian-Brazilian Clinical Psychologist and Chartered member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). Fabiola holds a doctoral degree (PhD) in Psychology obtained in University College Dublin in 2019 and has conducted her doctoral research on ADHD assessment and treatment in the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Department in collaboration with the Centre for Disability Studies in UCD School of Psychology.
Fabiola has also completed clinical psychology training in mental health services in Brazil in 2010 providing specialist assessment and intervention for adults and people under the age of 18 with mental health difficulties, including a specific ADHD clinic. Fabiola is specialised in psychotherapy delivered to adults and young people with moderate to severe mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She is a psychology lecturer and thesis supervisor and engages in academic activities relevant to her clinical practice and research discipline in developmental psychology, neurodiversity and gender-diverse youth.
Dr Fabiola Honorio Neto has developed specialist skills and interest in the area of gender assessment and support with both young people and adults since working with this service from April 2022. She works alongside Dr Aidan Kelly to run a weekly gender clinic in Dublin and she has developed links with local stakeholder agencies and supports to ensure the holistic needs of transgender and gender diverse young people and adults.
Fabiola has a passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion and enjoys travelling and working in different cultures and languages.

Dr Kirsty Golden [she/her]
Senior Clinician | London
Dr Kirsty Golden is a Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of East London, and also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Low Intensity CBT from Teesside University.
Kirsty has worked in the NHS since 2009, with both adults and children in specialist and general mental health and paediatric health settings. This has involved supporting people struggling with a variety of difficulties, such as low mood, anxiety, phobias, low self-esteem, trauma, OCD, and difficulties linked to physical health problems.
Kirsty has worked with gender diverse young people and their families since 2017. She is skilled in highly specialist gender assessments, which includes supporting young people who are exploring or questioning their gender identity, as well as working systemically with those around them such as their family/carers, and statutory organisations such as CAMHS and schools.
Kirsty’s values centre around appreciating difference, believing in social justice and the power of storytelling.
Outside of work, Kirsty enjoys crafts, singing, going to music gigs and the theatre, and spending time outdoors.

Dr Rebecca Adams [she/her]
Consultant Clinician | London
Dr Rebecca Adams is a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist registered in the UK with the GMC (3065299)
Dr Rebecca Adams completed a psychiatric training in Oxford and a specialist training at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Dr Rebecca Adams has worked as an NHS consultant within a Community CAMHS setting since 1999. Over the years she has been involved in management, service development and teaching but her focus has always been, first and foremost, a clinical one.
As well as an interest and experience in working with young people with gender dysphoria she has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a range of emotional and mental health issues arising in children and young people including ADHD, ASD, anxiety, depression, eating disorders and psychosis.

Shon Grant [they/them]
Principal Clinician | London
Shon is a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist, They are registered with the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP) and and is a member of both the British Association of Gender Identity Specialists (BAGIS) and the Association of Family Therapy (AFT).
Shon has worked with children and their families in health and social care for nearly 30 years; developing specialisms in working with developmental trauma, anxiety, depression, experiences of neurodiversity, self harm, sexual abuse and domestic abuse. They hold a particular interest in safeguarding, social justice and anti-oppressive/anti-racist intervention.
Shon started working in NHS gender services in 2020, where they developed specialist skill in gender assessment through therapeutic intervention and exploration, and, where indicated, make recommendations for some medical interventions. Shon was clinic safeguarding lead where they developed systems which were commended at review by the CQC. They were also a co regional team lead. They are passionate and committed to working in partnership with gender diverse people so that they can go on to live and thrive as their authentic selves.
Outside of their clinical work, Shon is employed as an Associate Lecturer at the Tavistock & Portman, where they are a module lead on an award winning multi-modal training course, which encompasses systemic and psychoanalytic theory and child development. Shon also tutors as part of the external systemic portfolio and develops short courses within the digital portfolio.
When not at work, Shon tries to find time to indulge their passions for reading and cooking while enjoying the company of their family.

Dr Rosie Jones [she/her]
Principal Clinician | Birmingham
Dr Rosie Jones is a Clinical Psychologist by training. She is registered with the Healthcare Professionals Council (PYL32685) and is a member of the British Association of Gender Identity Specialists (BAGIS).
Dr Rosie Jones has worked professionally with children, young people and their families for 9 years and within NHS gender services for children and young people for 3 years. She has clinical experience in health and mental health across community and inpatient settings, with particular expertise in supporting neurodivergent young people and people who present with risk to themselves or others. Rosie has particular expertise in compassion-focused therapy (CFT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and has additional training in these therapeutic approaches.
Through her work Rosie has dedicated much of her time in previous roles to platforming experts by experience, either through creating patient groups or leading on public and patient involvement. Rosie is the lead for Public and Patient Involvement (PPI) at Gender Plus.
Outside of work, Rosie enjoys wild swimming, music, running, and spending time with her friends and family.

Dr Angeline Dharmaindra [she/her]
Principal Clinician | London
Dr Angeline Dharmaindra is a Clinical Psychologist and is registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). She trained as a Clinical Psychologist at the University of Essex, has obtained a Masters Degree in Mental Health Studies from Kings College London and obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Low Intensity CBT Interventions from University College London. She has also undertaken ADOS-2 training, which is a standardised assessment tool used diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorders in children and adults.
Dr Angeline Dharmaindra has worked in Health and Social Care since 2007 and has worked with gender diverse young people and their families in the NHS since 2016. She has skills in highly specialist gender assessments, therapeutic gender exploration and assessment for gender-related medical interventions. She has delivered training in gender for the University of Essex Clinical Psychology doctoral programme and also provides consultation to local agencies working with gender diverse young people.
Prior to working in gender services, Dr Angeline Dharmaindra has worked in the NHS with young people with mental health problems and supported them with experiences such as anxiety, depression and self-harm. She also has a strong interest in neurodiversity and neurodevelopmental conditions which complements her gender work.

Dr Caroline Floyd [she/her]
Senior Clinician | London
Dr Caroline Floyd is a Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Essex where she gained an additional Foundation Level Qualification in Systemic Family Therapy.
Caroline has extensive experience working in the NHS with both adults and young people. She has supported children and families in specialist and general mental health services and has worked with a variety of presentations including OCD, anxiety, low mood and eating disorders.
Caroline started working with gender diverse young people within the NHS in 2021 where she conducted assessments with individuals who were questioning and exploring their gender identity. She also worked systemically with families and schools. In her approach, Caroline considers the unique needs of the individual and is passionate about supporting neurodevelopmental conditions.
Outside of work, she is happiest when on a beach, playing football or with her friends and family.

Dr Rosie Sharville [she/her]
Senior Clinician | London
Dr Roseanna (Rosie) Sharville is a Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of East London, after studying for her undergraduate degree at the University of Oxford.
Rosie has worked in the NHS since 2015, with five years of experience in specialist NHS gender services. More broadly, she has worked with adults, younger children and adolescents in a variety of both general (e.g. CAMHS, IAPT) and specialist settings (e.g sexual health services, gender services, severe and enduring anxiety services). She has a wide range of experience with clients presenting with a variety of difficulties, in both NHS and private sectors.
Rosie's area of specialist interest is that of gender, relationship and sexuality diversity. After writing her doctoral thesis on understanding human rights in clinical context(s), Rosie leans on human rights theory and legislation, in addition to narrative therapy, systemic therapy, and aspects of queer theory in her clinical work. She has been a guest lecturer on the Doctorate course in Clinical Psychology at the University of East London for the past five years, teaching on the intersections of gender, sexuality, and human rights.
Outside of work, Rosie is a part-time illustrator, with a general love of all things arts and crafts. She spends most of her spare time doodling!

Abby Maitland [she/her]
Principal Clinician | Birmingham
Abby Maitland is UKCP registered Family & Systemic Psychotherapist, with over 38 years experience of clinical and leadership roles within the NHS, local authority, private and charity settings. Abby currently works in private practice as a psychotherapist and consultant.
Abby worked for a number of years in Essex within therapeutic residential settings with disabled adults, and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. She also worked in London providing therapeutic recovery support for children who were survivors of abuse and those at risk. Abby relocated to Brighton in 1999, where she worked for a number of years collaborating, developing and leading specialist community based services offering emotional, behavioral and mental health support for children and young people with learning disabilities and autism.
Abby then went on to lead a number of local, specialist Tier 3 Child & Adolescent mental health services in Brighton before relocating to North Yorkshire in 2021.
Here she joined the NHS gender identity development service (GIDS), working as a clinician and consultant lead for the Northern regional team based in Leeds. She supported the GIDS team and its active caseload of young people & families until the service closure in March 2024.
Abby has specialist skills in: undertaking gender assessments; offering therapeutic exploration and support; facilitating systemic & network approaches; and where appropriate/ necessary, making recommendations for medical interventions. Abby feels passionately about collaborative working with gender diverse people, their families and relational networks.
As a compassionate and empathetic therapist, she is deeply committed to promoting social justice and reducing health inequalities, recognizing that systemic barriers can prevent people from accessing necessary health services. She strives to work with marginalised and stigmatised populations, offering a culturally sensitive approach, and actively addressing issues of power and privilege in her practice.
Outside of work, Abby enjoys walking in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, yoga and cooking.

Dr Moja Kljakovic [she/her]
Senior Clinician | London
Dr Moja Kljakovic is a BPS and HCPC registered clinical psychologist. She has specialist clinical training in child and adolescent mental health and, in addition to her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, has completed a PhD in the research area of bullying. She has also published academic peer-reviewed research in this field.
Dr Moja Kljakovic has completed specialist training in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-II) and the Developmental, Dimensional and Diagnostic Interview (3di), which allow her to complete autism assessments in compliance with NICE standards.
Since coming to the UK in 2015 Moja has worked in a CAMHS service in London and has provided outreach to school settings with a focus on autism. She has also worked in the private sector with adolescents in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Moja currently works in the NHS in an adult setting and teaches academically on psychology across the lifespan.

Phil Myers [he/him]
Principal Clinician | London
Phil is a systemic psychotherapist who qualified from the Tavistock Clinic in 1999. He is UKCP registered and a member of the Association of Family Therapy. He has worked for many years and continues to work in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in East London.
Before training as a systemic psychotherapist Phil worked as a mental health nurse – working with adults.
His main interest is in working with young people and their families, and he offers family therapy, couples therapy, parent support and individual systemic therapy. He has lots of experience working with a variety of different issues including mental health difficulties, relationship and communication difficulties and has a particular interest in supporting gender-questioning young people and their families. He is interested in challenging discriminatory processes and power dynamics that can sometimes lead to a sense of shame or a sense of being misunderstood.
Phil was born in Bristol, comes from a large family, has lived in Denmark and in France, is a father of young adult children, likes playing music with others and plays in a band, and, like many people enjoys travel, eating and drinking.

Dr Jos Twist [he/they]
Principal Clinician | London
Dr Jos Twist is a Clinical Psychologist registered in the UK with the HCPC. Dr Twist has worked in the NHS since 2013 offering psychological support across a range of community and clinical settings.
Dr Twist has worked at the NHS Gender Identity Development Service at the Tavistock Centre since 2015, with children and young people who are questioning or exploring their gender, providing support both for them, as well as their families and/or carers. Dr Twist has considerable experience of working with gender diverse young people who are struggling with their mood, anxiety, eating difficulties, self-harm, as well as young people who are also neurodiverse or have a diagnosis of autism/ASC.
In addition to therapeutic and exploratory work, Dr Twist also delivers training, teaching, consultation and supervision within this field. Dr Twist also conducts research in this area and has presented at both UK and international conferences on the topics of gender and sexuality.

Dr Cliodhna Cork [she/her]
Senior Clinician | London
Dr Clíodhna Cork is a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist who completed her doctoral training at the University of East London in 2022.
Clíodhna previously worked in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), specifically in neurodevelopmental assessment and psychosocial support. She currently works in the NHS in a maternal mental health service. Clíodhna has completed training in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-II) which allows her to contribute to autism assessments in compliance with NICE standards.
Clíodhna is passionate about social justice in the area of mental health and works in a way that acknowledges social and cultural contexts and the intersection of different identities. She strives to create a collaborative therapeutic space that challenges dominant narratives around gender, queerness, and neurodiversity.
Clíodhna grew up in Ireland, and lived in Bordeaux and Glasgow, before moving to London in 2019.
Outside of work Clíodhna enjoys yoga, cycling around, and attending to the needs of her cat Benji.

Laura Johnson [she/her]
Research and Admin Assistant
Laura is a Psychology graduate continuing her journey into research with Gender Plus.
She has broad experience supporting people with a range of mental and physical health conditions of all ages in her previous job as a support worker and volunteer roles at IntoUniversity and Solent Mind.
Her passion for queer research was solidified while working on her 3rd year literature review and research project, and she is excited to continue work in this area in her current role. She has guest lectured on the topic of Minority Stress Theory in LGBTQ+ populations.
Outside of work, she can usually be found at her sewing machine, birdwatching, playing video games with her wife, and attempting to entertain their rabbit. -
Suzanne [she/her]
Admin Co-ordinator
Suzanne worked as an assistant in a primary school class for autistic children in Ireland before she began working in healthcare admin in the UK in 2016.
Before joining the team at The Tavistock’s GIDS in 2020 she led the administrative team at a busy health clinic. These experiences have made Suzanne passionate about access to healthcare for young people.
Outside of work Suzanne is happiest when travelling, reading or watching old films.
